Endurance Race at the Autobahn!

Two of our most seasoned drivers will be racing in the NASA Great Lakes TREC series. We'll start off the weekend with an enduro race in a Spec 944 racecar. Come out to see the show! We'll be there all weekend, and you are welcome to attend as much or as little as you like. 

Members of The Community Garage are also invited to join our Pit Crew! 

Pit crew members will take on one or more roles in the team. Details below. 

• Roles: Spotter, Fueler, Fire Bottle, Driver Swap, Mechanic, Data Assistant
• Event Dates: Friday, September 20 through Sunday, September 22, 2024
• Race Date: Friday, September 20th
• Race Time: 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM (plan to arrive between 11am and noon)
• Event Location: Autobahn Country Club (Joliet, IL – approx. 1+ hour drive from Evanston)
• Cost: $0
• Transportation: The Community Garage may be able to assist with travel arrangements (contact us for more info)

NOTE: If you are currently in school and wish to join the Pit Crew, you will need to request that Friday off. Pit crew members make a committment to the team and are expected to stay for the entire endurance race (2-6PM).

On Saturday and Sunday we will have additional sponsored drivers. Family and guests are warmly welcome. They can enjoy:

• RIDE ALONGS: You will see some amazing cars doing what they were built to do. If you are 18+ you can even ride along in one – on the track at speed! Family can ride too!
• GO KARTING: The ACC go kart track is one of the best in the midwest! Come race with us under the night lights of Kart Circuit Autobahn.
• TUTORIALS:  Come to the track and you will LEARN a ton. We will host trackside talks and hands-on activities to learn more about track set up and true car performance (no internet myths!)
