Our trip to Daytona was once again a fantastic time. For the second year in a row The Community Garage took a group of kids to see one of the best races in North America!

This year we spent an extra day at the track to take in all the action. Leading up to the race we saw vintage race cars take to the track, a wild Miata MX-5 Cup race, and GT4 class cars throw down in their own Michelin Pilot Challenge race.

A huge thank you to our friends at Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing who continue to show us support. Reese Fokine gave us a killer VIP tour of the RLL’s grid spot and garages.

The Rolex is more than a crazy long race – it’s a multi-day event best experienced at all hours of the day. We camped on site again, and this year with overnight lows in the high-30s it was rather chilly. Good thing Jerry brought the biggest “little” tent you’ve ever seen! The Henderson brothers broke out their MacGyver-level zip tie skills to set up our very own warming center.

Last year was so much fun we had some returning members come back to show the new guys around. The race itself was epic! The Ford Mustang brought home the win in GTD Pro! You couldn’t ask for more. Yet the Rolex is as much about tradition as it is about this year’s racing.

Not surprisingly we are already looking forward to next year. We’ll be at other tracks and see more pro racing this year, but there’s nothing like the Rolex to beckon you back.
See you in 2026!
